Musical Improv 2: Crafting The Improvised Song
Six Week Course | Adults Only (18+)
Elevate your musical improv skills in a dynamic and immersive experience designed to refine your technique, boost your confidence, and improve your ability to create fully improvised songs—all in a supportive and engaging environment. In this course, you will refine and expand the techniques learned in Musical Improv 1 while exploring traditional song forms and contemporary musical styles. Strengthen your ability to improvise full songs on the spot through structured exercises in improvised singing, music composition, and lyric writing. Deepen your understanding of songwriting and musical storytelling by examining the intricate relationship between words and music, with a focus on scansion, prosody, and lyrical flow. Through ritualized musical practice and sound-play, you’ll cultivate creativity, presence, and a harmonious balance of mind, body, and heart. This course will challenge and inspire you while keeping the joy and spontaneity at the core of the experience.
